I have stayed at this Econolodge during my visits to Chesterton and feel quite satisfied with their efforts. A simple breakfast assortment is appreciated. It has been quiet during my last three stays there. I appreciate that they do not make questionable television channels available. This hotel is close to several dining spots and is near a pharmacy and grocery store. I intend to return there upon my next visit. ...read more

I was totally disappointed to arrive at the hotel and be greeted by the unfriendly desk clerk. The worst thing was how DIRTY this hotel was! I was totally appalled by the built up filth! No shampoo. No Bottled Water. No clock in room. Chain lock was ripped out of the wall.

I would never stay there again as it was a dirty hotel with holes in the sheets and the carpet was filthy. A hotel employee walked in the room without knocking while our family was asleep they advertised a continental breakfast which consisted of stale donuts. Also no hot water for showers and the ceiling in the bathroom was about to fall in. We asked for clean towels the second day and didn't get any so had to hunt down the hotel staff to get fresh towels. No iron or hair dryers in the room.
